In the Trojans’ first scrimmage on Aug. 13, Frye had touchdown runs of 32 and 60 yards. Last Saturday in Troy’s second scrimmage, Frye returned a kickoff almost 98 yards for a touchdown and added a tough touchdown run inside the 10-yard line.
Frye, at 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds, admits his stature inspires his effort on the football field.
“It puts fire in my belly, makes me want to go,” he said Saturday.
Trojans head coach Neal Brown said Frye ran the 100 meters in 10.5 to 10.6 seconds in high school, and some recruiting sites list him with a 40-yard dash time of 4.
