Former Troy offensive lineman Blaine Hudson signs with Gardner-Webb

Hudson was a key member of the 2014 and 2015 Elba Tigers squads that made appearances in the AHSAA Class 2A finals. The Tigers won the 2015 state championship, a game in which Hudson scored a two-point conversion on a deflected pass.

Hudson finished runner-up in Alabama Sports Writers’ Association voting for Class 2A Lineman of the Year. The 294-pounder averaged three pancake blocks per game and graded out at 88 percent in his senior season at Elba.

Hudson committed to Troy last season and appeared on the Trojans’ roster early this summer before electing to transfer.
