TROY, Ala. – Former Troy University women's basketball standout Tiyah Johnson will continue her playing career overseas in Portugal after signing with ACD Ferragudo. Johnson played at Troy from 2019-2022.
"I'm excited to learn their culture," said Johnson. "I'm excited to play basketball and to go out there and showcase my talent. Troy has taught me to be accountable and to be disciplined. I think that is what prepared me the most."
Johnson came to Troy for the 2019-20 season after spending time at Shelton State Community College. After being named an academic all-American in her final year at Shelton State, she came in and contributed immediately as a Trojan, earning 10 starts to help Troy win its first-ever Sun Belt Conference regular season title.
