Former Slocomb standout Jarvis Hayes was just a small kid when he first became interested in Troy University.
“When I was in elementary school, we had a field trip to Troy of Dothan, so I started liking Troy of Dothan,” Hayes recalled. “When I found out there was a bigger Troy, it was something I really, really wanted to go to. So this is my dream school.”
Though Hayes has followed the football program for many years, the first time he’ll attend a Troy football game at Veterans Memorial Stadium will be on Sept. 1 when Boise State comes to town.
