Former Rehobeth golfer Brantley Scott wins first college golf tournament

Former Rehobeth golf standout and current Troy golfer Brantley Scott won his first career college tournament title on Tuesday, winning individual medalist honors at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate and helping the Trojans win the team title.

Scott, who was playing in just his second tournament since missing all of the fall season with an injury, shot a three-day 1-under 215 total on the LPGA International Golf Course to edge out North Alabama’s Xing Luo by two shots. Scott played steady golf with four birdies, three bogeys and 47 pars over the 54 holes. He recorded rounds of 71, 72 and 72.
