A middle infielder most of her career, the Charles Henderson High product switched to the outfield in the latter half of the 2015 season with some success – earning second team All-Sun Belt Conference honors at the position.
But that position switch may be just the beginning of changes for the junior. The Trojans have also practiced Hartley at catcher this offseason, further adding to her versatility for coach Beth Mullins’ Trojans.
“When we had our individual meetings, we told her our expectation of her is to be the ultimate utility player, and that’s what she has been,” Mullins said.
