Mitzi McLendon Hasty put up Hall of Fame numbers in her four years playing softball for Troy University. This weekend will prove that.
Hasty, who played from 1994-97, left Troy as its career hits leader with 256 – a mark that still ranks second on the list. What is more remarkable is that 10 percent of those hits were triples (25). She scored 160 career runs, and both the triples and runs are still school records.
The Ashford native finished with a .344 career batting average, which ranks third at Troy – as do her 72 career stolen bases.
