TROY — As Hunter Reese reflected on it, he was amazed with the speed of his Troy football career, the five years that have passed in what almost seems like a flash.
“It has zoomed by,” Reese said Monday, looking ahead to the final scheduled home game of his career. “But we’re here. It is what it is.
“Can’t stop it now.”
When Reese first arrived on campus in the fall of 2014, he was a mere walk-on and the Trojans were in the midst of a five-year streak of non-winning seasons.
As Reese and Troy’s other 13 seniors play their final scheduled home games Saturday, the Trojans (8-2, 6-0 Sun Belt) are on the cusp of the winningest three-year stretch in school history.
