TROY, Alabama -- The Troy football team practiced in pads for the first time this fall during its two-hour workout Sunday morning on the practice fields behind Trojan Arena. Wearing shoulder pads and helmets, the Trojans battled the Alabama heat for 22 periods as they work towards Tuesday's first off day in camp.
Head coach continued his strategic installation of the offense, defense and special teams with the Trojans spending extended periods on kickoff and kickoff return during the early portion of Sunday's practice. The Trojans continued to work on red zone situations during their team drills, and Sunday's practice session featured the most team drills of camp so far.
