TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's basketball team picked up its sixth victory of the season in front of a youthful crowd on Education Day. The Trojans defeated East Tennessee State 79-61 to improve to 6-2 on the year and extend its winning streak inside Trojan Arena to four-games.
For the eighth consecutive game Troy was led by a new leading scorer, this time it was Harriet Winchester. On Wednesday Winchester and Jasmine Robinson each tallied 13-points to pace the Trojans to an 18-point victory over ETSU. Both players did a majority of their damage in the second half as Winchester scored eight in the final two frames while Robinson scored seven.
