Over 18 games, Mobile's bowl has had six names, with the Dollar General Bowl debuting as the moniker on Friday night. But through the Mobile Alabama Bowl, GMAC Mobile Alabama Bowl, GMAC Bowl, GoDaddy.com Bowl and GoDaddy Bowl, one thing has remained fairly consistent: There has been lots and lots of scoring.
Two of the four highest scoring bowls in history have been played in Mobile, including No. 1 on the points parade - Marshall 64, East Carolina 61 in 2001.
Only two of the bowl's winners have failed to score at least four touchdowns, something last year's winner, Georgia Southern, reeled off in the first 15:05 of the second half.
