Sartain Hall, the site of hundreds of men's and women's basketball games and numerous university graduations for Troy students, will no longer exist soon.
The demolition of the structure will be done in stages and could take weeks.
Auxford Sumner Sartain Hall was begun in 1961 and was the largest project undertaken at then Troy State College under the administration of Gov. John Patterson and college President Dr. Frank Ross Stewart, it’s beginnings having root in President C.B. Smith’s tenure.
