La'Tia Fils-Aime' scored 10 points for Troy during the Sun Belt Conference tourney championship game last Saturday.
Daleville High graduate La’Tia Fils-Aime’ poured in 10 points in the Trojans’ 61-60 win over Little Rock in the Sun Belt Conference Championship Saturday in New Orleans. The win clinched a spot in the NCAA Tournament – Troy’s first berth in the “Big Dance” since 1997 – the year Fils-Aime’ was born.
Amazing in itself is Fils-Aime’, just a freshman, tallied that many points on the Trojans’ biggest stage to date. Even more outstanding is when most of the scoring occurred – she had six points in Troy’s 14-5 run in the third and fourth quarters that cut Little Rock’s lead to 52-51.
