TROY — Kaleb Barker huddled with his parents, lingered around the field, doing almost anything he could before going to the locker room and taking off his Troy jersey for the last time.
It was inevitable, though Barker and the Trojans had hoped it wouldn’t be for another game, but the senior quarterback wanted to savor every moment.
“The memories and things I went through these four years made me grow,” Barker said after his career finale, a 48-13 loss to Appalachian State at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Friday.
