Troy’s women’s basketball coach does it different. The Trojans’ 14-3 record and 5-1 conference mark, which has them tied for first place in the Sun Belt Conference, hardly suggests they’re doing it wrong.
“We have 14 players and we play 14 players pretty much every game,” Rigby said Wednesday as the Trojans prepared for Thursday’s 6 p.m. home game against ULM (7-9, 1-4).
The coach was actually complimenting Rigby on the depth of her team.
“He said, ‘My assistants brought me a scouting report that had 14 players and I said you need to take some of these off,’” Rigby recalled.
