TROY – Everyone knows Troy has to replace four-year starter Brandon Silvers at quarterback.
The Trojans also have to address other losses in the backfield. Record-setting running back Jordan Chunn and primary backup Josh Anderson have departed. Those two combined for 1,218 yards on the ground and 16 rushing touchdowns on 247 carries last season.
Head coach Neal Brown said the running backs will be “by committee” a bit early in the season. Jamarius Henderson of Dale County, B.J. Smith and Jabir Frye will all get carries when the Trojans open the season at home Saturday against Boise State.
