TROY — The play taunted him like a pleasant dream all through Saturday, leaving Troy running back Jordan Chunn with a mighty appetite for game time.
The Trojans, for their first offensive play, had scripted a handoff to Chunn and a run up the middle.
Chunn visualized it repeatedly between the time his clock alarm coaxed him from sleep Saturday morning until the Veterans Memorial Stadium clock signaled kickoff.
The actual play matched his dreams.
Chunn ran for a 48-yard touchdown on Troy’s first play of the season, sparking the Trojans to a near-historic night in a 57-17 victory over Austin Peay.
