TROY — Troy football players, after meeting their new coach, say they are impressed with Chip Lindsey and sense he has the same demeanor and priorities as his predecessor.
The Trojans announced Thursday afternoon that they had hired Lindsey, just before his first meeting with the team. The school will formally introduce him at a news conference Friday.
“He’s a real personable guy,” quarterback Kaleb Barker said. “He came up to me after the meeting and told me how excited he is.”
Lindsey was Auburn’s offensive coordinator the last two seasons before Kansas hired him as offensive coordinator last month.
