TROY, Ala. – Troy picked up a pair of wins in a Saturday doubleheader against Youngstown State at Riddle-Pace Field. The Trojans downed the Penguins 8-2 in game one of the day before an emphatic 13-6 victory in game two.
With two doubles and three home runs in the night cap, tied a school record for total bases (16) in a single game set by Scott Ates in 1990. Cerny is the first Trojan since Jo-El Bennett in 2014 to homer three times in the same game.
The Trojans combined for 25 hits on the day, including seven home runs and four doubles.
