TROY, Ala. – Logan Cerny has been named the Sun Belt Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, the league office announced Tuesday. The center fielder has received three of the six weekly honors the conference has awarded this season.
Cerny continued his hot-hitting ways in Troy's 3-1 week against Alabama State and UCF. The sophomore averaged .467, homered three times, doubled twice, scored eight times, batted in seven runs and stole two bases in four games for the Trojans. Cerny logged three multi-hit games, slugged 1.200 on the week and moved himself into third nationally on the home runs list (10).
