TROY, Ala. – Troy senior safety Cedarius Rookard is among 20 finalists for the annual South Carolina Football Hall of Fame Blanchard-Rogers Award, which is presented annually to the most outstanding collegiate player that has South Carolina ties.
A Spartanburg, S.C., native and Spartanburg High School alum, Rookard has started 38 career games for the Trojans and is coming off an All-Sun Belt season last year. Rookard is third on the Troy team this year with 44 tackles while tying for the team lead with a pair of interceptions.
