LAFAYETTE, Louisiana- Senior Carli Kayler was the hero in game one of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament as she hit a walk off solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Trojans over the ULM Warhawks 3-2 in the single elimination game.
ULM held the Trojans scoreless through three innings, until junior Kaylee Hussey blasted a two-run home run, tying the game at 2-2. The Trojan defense went to work, keeping the Warhawks from crossing the plate for the remainder of the game, and paving the way for Kayler to keep the season alive.
