TROY, Alabama – Troy junior Fátima Fernández Cano continued to add to her resume as she was named the Sun Belt Women's Golfer of the Month for the third time in four tries this season, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.
Troy played four times during the timeframe for the final Sun Belt award of the year and Cano took home individual medalist honors in three of those tournaments to climb to 21st in the latest World Amateur Golf Rankings. She is currently ranked 67th in the country by Golfstat, which is 200 spots higher than the next closest Sun Belt golfer.
