TROY — The review could be summarized with one five-word sentence that Troy coach Neal Brown uttered.
“We just didn’t play very well,” Brown said Monday, looking back at the Trojans’ 22-16 loss at Liberty last weekend.
Troy mustered 293 yards offense, 140 below its average, and scored just one touchdown. The Trojans surrendered three touchdown drives of 75 yards or more, including an epic that ended with the go-ahead score.
Liberty’s final 89-yard drive was the longest scoring drive allowed by Troy this year. The Flames' 14 plays tied for the longest against the Trojans.
