One thing Trojans head coach Neal Brown also hopes to see is improved play from the offensive line.
“I think offensive line-wise, we have to get better,” he said. “Started off slow in the spring and steadily improving. (We’re) counting on a lot of redshirt freshmen up there, so some of it is to be expected, but we’ve got to run the ball better and see how they pass protect in some situations where they know they will get a heavy rush.”
The defensive line had one of the strongest showings Saturday during the first scrimmage. While Brown noted he believes Troy’s defensive line may be one of the team’s strongest units, he noted guard play needs to improve.
