B.J. Smith last season was the Trojans’ third back in the past four years to gain over 1,000 yards on the ground. Smith will return for his senior season, along with junior Jabir Daughtry-Frye, who remains a big-play threat as a rusher and receiver out of the backfield.
D.K. Billingsley has spent a good part of the last five weeks getting Lindsey’s attention. The 5-11, 207-pound sophomore from Scottsboro has been physical all spring. Last Saturday, he was one of the bright spots for the offense when he rushed for two touchdowns – one on a big play and the other on the goal line.
