With Little Rock making one final charge, Beverly Kelley made a critical rebound and two crucial assists in guiding Troy to a 78-71 victory at Trojan Arena.
“Really the camera needs to go over to this one over here on my right, Ashley Beverly Kelley, with 30 points, eight rebounds,” Troy head coach Chanda Rigby said in the postgame press conference. “Something that’s not on the stat sheet is getting the team up to run those (offensive sets).”
In a seesaw affair, Troy surged ahead by eight – its largest lead of the night – on a jumper from Beverly Kelley with 7:31 left in the fourth quarter.
