TROY — Troy linebacker Carlton Martial’s face grew wide, his voice uncertain and his shoulders shrugged.
Asked which of Troy’s debut receivers had the best game left Martial showing a politician’s bent as he did hit best balancing act of noncommittal.
“I don’t want to choose sides,” Martial said after Kaylon Geiger and Reggie Todd made such strong debuts in the Trojans’ 43-14 win over Campbell on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
“If I had to, I’d probably say Geiger — by a hair,” Martial said.
