SAN MARCOS, Texas – Senior starting pitcher Grant Bennett tabbed All-Sun Belt First Team honors, while senior starting pitcher Lucas Brown and junior outfielder Joey Denison were named All-Sun Belt second team, the Sun Belt Conference announced on Tuesday night.
Bennett, Troy's lone first teamer, has the second best ERA in the conference with a 2.15, which is tops on Troy's team and currently ranks in the top 10 in single-season ERA at Troy. He has eight wins this season, which has propelled him into the top 10 in career wins at Troy.
