MOBILE — They exploded off the sideline, paraded to the end zone packed with the fans and strolled off the field owners of a belt for the first time.
The Troy Trojans, with a late touchdown and a final defensive stand, left Ladd-Peebles Stadium with so many things Thursday and feeling so many emotions.
A 28-21 win over South Alabama made the Trojans eligible for a bowl for the first time since 2010 and ended a two-year losing streak to what’s become their biggest rival.
Most of all, it left them wondering where to put the rivalry trophy.
