TROY — The overwhelming fatigue was surprising because the victim was a 21-year-old college football player and not a middle-aged man.
John Johnson couldn’t explain what was happening during preseason practice when his condition more resembled late-season weariness than youthful exuberance.
“I would get fatigued a lot and pretty easily. Really easily,” the Troy receiver said. “We figured out what was wrong. It’s all good now.”
Johnson, whose year initially held so much promise, may be started it at glacial speed, but he’s suddenly making up for it.
