TROY – Troy head coach Neal Brown admits his quarterbacks sometimes have had difficulty finding a rhythm this spring – not due to their inexperience but because of the injuries occurring around them.
Despite several prominent Trojans missing most or all of Friday’s scrimmage with injuries, Troy’s offense made some strong plays behind Kaleb Barker and Sawyer Smith – the two guys competing to replace four-year starter Brandon Silvers at the helm of the offense.
“A lot of guys that are gonna be on the field when we kick it off against Boise here in early September weren’t practicing today – hopefully nothing serious,” Brown said.
