TROY, Ala. – Troy setter Amara Anderson and outside hitter Cheyenne Hayes have been named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Team, the league office announced Wednesday. This marks the first time since 2013 two Trojans have received a preseason honor in the same year.
The Trojans were also tabbed to finish second in the Sun Belt East Division in a vote of the league's 12 head coaches. Troy received three first place votes and tallied the third-most points overall in the conference voting.
"I'm thankful the conference coaches are recognizing this team's progress and competitiveness as well as the talent of our players," head coach Josh Lauer said.
