TROY, Ala. – In an impressive 84-50 victory over Texas State on Thursday, Troy women's basketball added another member to its exclusive 1,000-point club as Amber River became the 24th Trojan to score 1,000 points in her career.
Troy was in a groove Thursday night as they shot 45 percent from the field, their highest percentage this season, on 33-of-72 shooting. From behind-the-arc the Trojans shot 34 percent, their highest percentage since Jan. 4 when they shot 38 percent, on 8-of-23 shooting. On the glass Troy had one of their best games of the season as they grabbed 65 rebounds, third most this season, while also outrebounding Texas State by 38, the second largest margin since having a +39 advantage against AUM.
