TROY, Ala. – After leading Troy to a perfect 3-0-week, Amber Leggett was dubbed the Sun Belt Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
"Amber is consistent every day and has an outstanding attitude, great energy and relentless effort," head coach Chanda Rigby said. "She has played a big role in the success we have enjoyed so far this season. I'm so glad she is being honored with this award."
The Navarre, Fla., native opened up the week with a dominant 29-point performance off the bench, marking her third 20-plus point performance as a Trojan.
