TROY, Ala. – Troy women's basketball's Alexus Dye was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week after averaging 21 points and 9 rebounds per game in Troy's three games last week.
Dye earned her first player of the week honor of the season, second of her career, following an impressive week where she recorded back-to-back double-doubles on the road against No. 12 Mississippi State and Middle Tennessee and set a new career-high for points scored with 30 against Middle Tennessee.
Dye, who is averaging a double-double this season, started her strong week by recording her fourth double-double of the season, second career double-double against Mississippi State, with a 20 point and 11 rebound performance before earning double-double number five against Middle Tennessee (30-points, 10 boards).
