Alexis Garrett Nominated for 2020 NCAA Woman of the Year Award

TROY, Ala. – Troy track and field alumna Alexis Garrett has been named a conference-level nominee for the 2020 NCAA Women of the Year award, the national organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

Garrett, Troy's 2019-20 Student-Athlete Advisory Council President and national representative, is one of 160 college athletes selected as a nominee from a record pool of 605 total applicants, 58 of which are Division I nominees.

A team captain and 2018 All-Sun Belt performer, Garrett found success at multiple Sun Belt Championships as she earned a bronze medal in the 60m hurdles at the 2018 indoor championship and a bronze at the outdoor championship in the 100m hurdles.
