After poor outing,Troy offensive lineman Stidham bounces back against South Alabama

TROY – Troy left tackle Austin Stidham didn’t have his best game against Liberty on Oct. 13. Actually, very few Trojans did in the 22-16 loss.

The redshirt freshman, who has started all eight games this season, bounced back against South Alabama. Stidham, a 6-foot-5, 295-pounder from Russellville, was recognized as Troy’s offensive lineman of the week by coaches after grading out at a season-high 96 percent.

“He really answered the bell,” Troy head coach Neal Brown said. “Didn’t play his best the week before, but came back and really redeemed himself in a big way.”

Stidham said he didn’t know he was having a dominant game against the Jaguars.
