TROY — Kamryn Melton can only imagine how he’ll feel at Troy’s season opener Saturday.
Days before the Trojans meet Austin Peay, Melton is closing in on a goal.
It’s been three years since a knee injury ended his freshman season at Auburn and more than a year since he transferred to Troy. After sitting out to meet NCAA transfer requirements, Melton is a projected starter at cornerback.
“I’m really blessed,” Melton said. “I know when I got out there, I’ll be very emotional inside.
“Once I hit somebody or (get) the first interception, the jitterbugs will go away, and I can fly around and have fun.
