For this first time since Halloween, Troy football fans have a reason to celebrate.
Gunnar Watson finished 34 of 41 passing for 297 yards and three touchdowns as the Trojans (5-5 3-3 Sun Belt) snapped a three-game losing streak to beat South Alabama (4-7 3-5) 29-0 in the Battle for the Belt at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
The win is Troy’s third straight in the rivalry, which is the longest win streak for either team in the series.
