Jose Mourinho's next step in management may have to be at international level after his toxic exit from Tottenham, according to Teddy Sheringham.
Amid the chaos of the breakaway European Super League, Spurs announced Mourinho's sacking on Monday after just 17 months in the job.
Though Spurs remain in touch with the Champions League places and take on Manchester City in Sunday's Carabao Cup final as they bid to win a first trophy since 2008, Mourinho was criticised for a negative brand of football.
He also fell out with a number of players during his time in charge, froze others out entirely and, according to reports, spent four hours telling the squad some 'home truths' even after his sacking.
