Chelsea fans have taken to social media to lament Thiago Silva's injury in the derby clash with Tottenham.
The 38-year-old has been one of the few shining lights in Graham Potter's struggling side this season, and started the game against Spurs in the heart of the team's defence.
However, Silva's afternoon would come to an abrupt end early in the game when an onrushing Harry Kane appeared to fall on his outstretched leg after he made an important tackle.
Silva attempted to carry on immediately following the incident, but could not continue and was replaced by Wesley Fofana after just 19 minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
