World Cup - Harry hits a hat-trick as England shine

The striker and Three Lions skipper rifled home two penalties and deflected home Ruben Loftus-Cheek's shot to join Sir Geoff Hurst (in the final against West Germany, 1966) and Gary Lineker (against Poland in the group stage, 1986) as hat-trick heroes at the World Cup.

Academy graduate Harry, 24, is also the first Spurs player to score a hat-trick at the World Cup.

'Trips' claimed an assist for the first goal when John Stones headed home his corner, picked out Jesse Lingard who was subsequently fouled for Harry's first penalty and 2-0, was involved in the free-kick that led to Stones' second goal and 4-0 and took the corner that led to Harry's second penalty for 5-0.
