Why have Spurs struggled at Wembley stadium in the Champions League?

Tottenham ended their hoodoo at Wembley Stadium with a 3-1 Champions League win over CSKA Moscow on Wednesday, their first win at the national stadium in seven matches. But the damage was already done in "home" defeats to AS Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen, and the victory over the Russians only ensured a place in the Europa League which may turn out to be more of a curse than a blessing.

Spurs have confirmed that they will continue to play at Wembley in the competition and manager Mauricio Pochettino says it is important to build on Wednesday's win and "make Wembley feel like home" -- especially given that they are playing their home matches in the Premier League and cups at Wembley next season (as they build a new home next to White Hart Lane).
