A graduate of our Academy who made 70 appearances for us, Ryan suffered a fractured skull playing for Hull City against Chelsea on Sunday but reports from his club this week have been positive and that he’s making ‘excellent progress’.
Mauricio handed Ryan his Premier League debut against Arsenal in September, 2014.
“From the first moment we were in contact with his family,” said Mauricio. “The good thing is that he’s making a lot of progress.
“Ryan will always be special for me, we built a very good relationship.
“Now we’re happy with the progress he’s making we hope to go to see him this afternoon (Thursday) to give him a big hug and show our love.
