Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini offered a brutal assessment of Tottenham’s European credentials after knocking Spurs out of the Champions League.
The Serie A side, finalists twice in the last three seasons, claimed a 2-1 victory at Wembley on Wednesday night to book their quarter-final place and end Tottenham’s dreams of a surprise title.
Tottenham went into the game knowing a clean sheet would see them through, following their 2-2 draw in Turin in the first leg.
They started well as Heung-Min Son fired the hosts ahead in the first-half but Juventus came roaring back after the break, with goals from Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala in the space of three minutes sealing a 3-2 aggregate win.
