Ian Rush has lead the tributes to Ray Clemence after the former England, Liverpool and Tottenham goalkeeper died at the age of 72.
Clemence won three European Cups and five league titles while at Liverpool and was capped by England on 61 occasions. He was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in 2005.
Rush wrote: 'RIP Ray Clemence, we have lost a true legend! It was an honour to know you and to get the chance to play with you! My thoughts and prayers are with your family.'
Another Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, praised Clemence, tweeting: 'RIP Ray Clemence.
