A JustGiving page set up in honour of former defender Ugo Ehiogu, who passed away suddenly in April, has hit £23,000.

The news comes ahead of his funeral, which will take place in Highgate, London on Wednesday.

Ehiogu, 44, forged a successful career as a youth coach with Tottenham after retiring from the game in 2009.

He collapsed at Spurs' training ground after suffering a cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead a day later on April 21.
