Everton and Tottenham have moved ahead in the race to sign in-demand Besiktas forward Cenk Tosun, having held talks with the player's father.
Mesut Tosun, who also represents his son, is understood to have told the Premier League duo that the prolific striker is keen on a move to England - but not until the summer.
The Turkey international has been in blistering form so far this season, having netted 14 times in 26 appearances for club and country.
His remarkable form has seen him linked with up to 13 clubs, with Besiktas desperate to hold onto their star man.
