Tottenham's new stadium continues to take shape as construction reaches critical 'roof lift' stage

A key part of the construction of Tottenham's new stadium has begun with the 'roof lift' stage now underway.

Large columns are being raised into place and will form the basis of the elliptically-shaped ring roof.

This is a long process and is also dependent on weather conditions as strong wind and rain can lengthen the build.

In the end there will be 287 glass sections and 810 cassettes fitted in the new White Hart Lane and the roof lift is a vitally important phase.
